The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce has re-appointed the Group Managing Director of SO&U, Udeme Ufot as Chairman of its Publicity and Communications Committee.
Udeme Ufot is a distinguished communications professional with over 36 years of marketing communications practice. With his reappointment, he is expected to lead a team that would be responsible for managing publicity activities of the Nigerian-British Chambers of Commerce as a way to share information among members and co-ordinate advocacy activities to connect with relevant stakeholders as well as the general public.
Renowned for his dogged pursuit for excellence and consistent drive for breaking new frontiers in the attaining greater height, Udeme Ufot will bring to bear his wealth of experience and a track record of exemplary leadership to achieve success.
Reacting to his re-appointment, Udeme thanked the Executive Council of the Chambers for reposing confidence in him. He promised to “continue the drive for strategic communications excellence that has been responsible for the increased visibility and engagements with relevant stakeholders the organisation has achieved since so far”
A holder of the national honour of Member of the Federal Republic (MFR), Udeme, a volunteer and supporter of numerous causes, is the board chairman of LEAP Africa, and also sits on the boards of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and Special Olympics Nigeria (NESG). He is a former president of the Lagos Business School Alumni Association and a facilitator at FATE Foundation.
The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce is the foremost bilateral chamber in Nigeria with the objective to promote trade and investment between Nigeria and Britain.
