A report has it that Alex Goma, Managing Director of PZ Cussons has ended his 8 years romance with the company and now set to join Grand Cereals, a subsidiary of UACN as managing director.
Goma wrote on his Facebook handle @AlexanderGoma with a graphic illustration of work table that “End of a chapter and the start of a new one. Aluta continua,” he ended.
The post attracted hundreds of congratulatory comments. Prominent among them are Bunmi Oke, CEO, Ladybird Advertising, Rotimi Olaniyan, former president Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (Exman).
Mrs. Oke said, “Hearty congratulations on your ‘next level’! Truly your humility is exemplary.”
Goma joined PZ Cussons in January 2011 from Procter & Gamble as director of sales. He managed the family care of the group until his departure on September 30th, 2019.
Goma said that, “Yes, I have left PZ Cussons. I am joining Grand Cereals Limited.”
The University of Port Harcourt graduate had previous worked with Guinness Nigeria Plc as the director of sales before joining Procter & Gamble and there joined PZ Cussons- Family Care as managing director in 2011.
His 8 years and 9 months period at the company has seen the improvement and several introductions of new products from the stable. Goma leaves with a solid record of performance.
From Morning Fresh, Carex, Premier soaps, Cussons Baby, Olympic milk to Robb have experience one market activation or brand rejig to another. Under his watch, Premier soap had signed major sponsorship deal with Manchester City football club in England.
