One of Nigeria’s leading brand communications magazine, Brandcampaign is set to celebrate its seventh year anniversary with a special edition on 50 Most Influential Marketing Communication Practitioners in Nigeria on August 28 at Whitehouse Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.

Also on the bill is an anniversary lecture to be delivered by Dr Rotimi Olaniyan, Chief Executive Officer of ADVANTAGE Limited. The lecture titled ‘A Commercial Strategy For Nigeria And The Role Of Brands In Redefining The Nigerian Identity is going to be discussed by the trio of Mr Bolaji Okusaga,who is the Managing Consultant of Precise Limited, Mr Olusegun Mcmedal who is the Chairman, Lagos State Chapter of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Mr Lukman Adeyemo,  Tourism Promoter with Motherland Beckons Limited.

Mr Akinwumi also stated that the Special edition on 50 MOST INFLUENTIAL MARKETING COMMUNICATION PRACTITIONERS IN NIGERIA publication  is conceptualised to document in a single template, the biographies and contributions of some of the personalities and players who have dominated the Nigerian marketing communications landscape  in the past and who are still active on the landscape

Akinwumi, in the breakdown, stated that nineteen out the fifty practitioners are from the traditional advertising sector, nine from the Outdoor outdoor advertising sector, six from the Media Independent agencies, nine from Public Relations and Reputation Management agencies, six from the experiential marketing companies and only one from brand journalism industry.

In the traditional advertising sector, the czar of advertising in Nigeria, Mr Biodun Shobanjo leads the pack that includes Mr Udeme Ufot of SO & U Advertising Limited, Mr Lolu Akinwunmi of Prima Garnet Group, Sir Steve Omojafor of STB Advertising fame, Mr Ayo Owoborode of the PAL Advertising fame who now runs Servewell Consulting, Mr George Thorpe of Market Space Limited, Mr Jimi Awosika of Troyka Group and Mr Enyi Odigbo of Casers Group that controls DDB Lagos, Capital Media and Magenta among other firms, Mr Kola Ayanwale of Centrespread Grey and Senator Akin Odunsi of STB Group.

Other who made the list from the traditional advertising sector are Mr Funmi Onabolu of Cosse TTL Limited Limited, Mrs Bunmi Oke of Ladybird Advertising Limited , Mr Kelechi Nwosu of TBWA Concept Limited, Mr kayode Oluwasona who is the immediate Past President of Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Mr Ikechi Odigbo who is the current President of Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Dr Tunji Olugbodi of Verdant Zeal Group, Mr Lanre Adisa of Noah’s Ark, Mr Steve Babaeko of X3M  Marketing Ideas Limited and Mr Lampe Omoyele of 141 Worldwide Advertising Limited.

The Chairman of Media Link Group, Chief Babu Akinbobola leads the pack from the Outdoor Advertising sector that includes his partner, Mr Kole Ademulegun, Mr Ahmed Omisore of New Outdoor Communications Limited , Mr Tunde Adedoyin of Media Views Limited who is also the current President of Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), Mr Charles Chijide of Charella Communications Limited, Mr Yinka Adepoju of Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA), Mr Dozie Mbanefo of New Crystal Communications Limited, Mr Emma Ajufo who is the Vice President of Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) and Mr Femi Ogala, the Secretary of Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN).

In the Media independent sector, Tolu Ogunkoya of Media Reach OMD fame  holds the ace with Mr Ayo Oluwatosin of Rosabel , Emeka Okeke of Media Fuse Dentsu Aegis, Dr ken Onyeali – Ikpe of Insight Redefini, kabiyesi Ayo Kupoluyi, the Immediate Past Managing Director of Media Seal Limited and Mr Yinka Adebayo of Media Reach OMD.
