The Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) the umbrella body representing the interests of leading advertisers in Nigeria, has moved its annual Awards tagged The ADVAN African Awards for Marketing Excellence from the last quarter of every year to the first quarter of next year. Consequently, the awards has been scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025.
In an exclusive chat with newsmen in Lagos, the managing director of ADVAN, Ediri Ose-Ediale. said the new schedule for the awards is as a result of careful research and feedback from participants.
“This timeline is to ensure all marketing campaigns and brand activities that run from January to December 2024, are completed and can be included in the awards,” she explained.
She also revealed that the association would release some very exciting new additions to awards in the coming weeks.
The ADVAN African Awards for Marketing Excellence is regarded by marketers as the most prestigious and anticipated event for the Nigerian and Sub Saharan African marketing communications industry. It has evolved over the years in response to developments in marketing theory and practice to reflect the growing appreciation of the critical role of marketing as the vital source of value creation for a business.
