Mathema Nigeria, a leading academic and professional organization dedicated to excellence, critical thinking, and innovation, is set to host its second mathematical competition and conference themed Mathema 2.0: Advancing Leadership & Mathematical Excellence. This education conference and mathematics competition will focus on enhancing mathematical proficiency, fostering leadership development, and exploring real-world applications of mathematics across various industries.
Set to take place on May 8th and 9th, 2025 at Yaba college of Technology, Multipurpose Hall tentatively, the competition will bring together secondary school students from across the south-west, Nigeria to showcase their problem-solving abilities and analytical skills in a rigorous intellectual challenge.
Building on the success of the maiden edition, which attracted thousands of students and education stakeholders, this second edition is poised to feature a highly competitive mathematics contest for Day 1 and leadership conference for Day 2.
The conference will see a set of seasoned professionals from diverse industries, including engineering, banking, accounting, laws, arts, medicine, technological experts and other key sectors, to inspire and empower students aspiring to excel in these fields by sharing their experiences, career journeys, and practical insights.
Secondary school teachers will also benefit from specialized development track, gaining access to innovative teaching methodologies, technological integrated strategies and curriculum enhancement techniques. These sessions are designed to equip educators with cutting-edge approaches to making learning more engaging and accessible to students.
