It was a night of recognition and celebration of excellence at the Marketing Edge Awards as several institutions and distinguished personalities were honored for their contribution to the marketing communication industry. One of such personalities is Chris Ogunlowo who was recognized as the Creative Personality of the Year.
Chris as he is fondly called, currently leads the SO&U creative efforts in managing the communication needs for Africa’s telecommunication giant, Globacom. Recognized for creating some of the most talked-about campaigns in Nigeria, Chris who is aCreative Director at SO&U has been featured in the world’s notable advertising compendiums. He has churned out exceptional work on projects including the Mother’s Day viral campaign which gained traction across the online space winning several Gold, Silver and Bronze at the LAIF Awards as well as a Gold at the African Crystal Awards. One of his work Glo “Rhythm” TV commercial has also won 3 Gold and 1silver at the LAIF Award.
Reacting to the honour, Chris Ogunlowo expressed delight on being celebrated as Marketing Edge’sCreative Personality of the Year and dedicated the award to his team members for providing the necessary support.
“I am pleased and humbled to have been recognized by the Marketing Edge for the work we do. Coming from such a distinguished organization as Marketing Edge, I am inspired and challenged to do more for the profession. As a thought leader on Creativity, Media, Literature and Pop Culture, Ogunlowo speaks at conferences and universities.He was recently selected as a Grand Jury for the New York Advertising Festival Awards, and will be judging the AD STARS awards in South Korea.
